Australia Subclass 190 Visa

This visa lets nominated skilled workers live and work in Australia as permanent residents. Process

1. Check whether your occupation is on the skilled occupation list, you have 65 points, you are eligible.
2. Submit an expression of interest in skillselect.
3. Wait for invitation to apply for this visa.
4. Gather your documents.
5. Apply for visa within 60 days of invitation.

8504 - Initial entry date
8504- Initial entry date:The visa holder must enter Australia before a specific date.
8515 - Not marry before first entry
8515 - Not marry before first entry: The visa holder must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entering Australia.

SKILLED REGIONAL (PROVISIONAL) VISA (SUBCLASS 489)- STATE OR TERRITORY NOMINATED
The Skilled - Nominated (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) is an Australian state sponsored visa for skilled people wishing to live and work in a regional or low population growth area in Australia. You must score at least 65 points (the pass mark) on the Points Test to be eligible for this visa.
Visa Criteria
In order to qualify for a Subclass 489 visa, you would need to:
- Lodge an EOI and be invited to apply
- Be sponsored by a relative living in a Designated Area or nominated by a State or Territory Government.
- Meet the pass mark in the skilled migration points test - currently 65
- Be aged between 18 and 44 inclusive
- Pass Skills Assessment in an occupation on the relevant Skilled Occupations List
- Have Competent English or higher
- Meet health and character requirements

Sponsorship by a Relative Living in a Designated Area
You can apply for a Subclass 489 visa if you are sponsored by a relative living in a Designated Area. The relative must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Eligible New Zealand Citizen. The following relatives can sponsor for the Subclass 489 visa:

- Parents
- Brothers and Sisters
- Uncles and Aunts
- Nephews and Nieces
- First Cousins
- Grandparents

You must pass skills assessment in an occupation on the Independent or Family Sponsored Occupations Listprior to receiving an EOI invitation.
If you are sponsored by a relative, you will need to live for 2 years and work full time for 12 months in a regional or low population growth area to qualify for permanent residence through the Skilled Regional Subclass 887 visa.

Nomination by a State or Territory Government
Each State and Territory Government publishes a list of occupations in short supply in their area. There may be specific requirements in terms of work experience, English language ability or specialised skills.
You must pass skills assessment in an occupation on the State or Territory Nominated Occupations List prior to receiving an EOI invitation.
If you are nominated by a state or territory government, you will need to live for 2 years and work full time for 12 months in a regional or low population growth area to qualify for permanent residence through the Skilled Regional Subclass 887 visa.

8515 - Not marry before first entry
8539 - Specified area
